High-tech camera
02/10/2010

The new Gen-Eye Spectra video inspection system from General Pipe Cleaners features a 160 GB hard drive, DVD recorder and 15” LCD monitor, along with a self-leveling colour camera.

It allows the operator to record up to 290 hours of inspection video directly onto the hard drive and then copy sections onto the built-in DVD-R recorder to give to the customer. The digital recording system, with jitter free freeze frame and a separate industrial color monitor, provides a crisp, clear picture that allows the operator to better analyze any problem.

A self-leveling colour camera keeps the picture right side up at all times. The operator sees water at the bottom of the pipe, making it easier to follow the action. The stainless steel camera housing is 1.4” in diameter and carries 16 ultra-bright white LED’s to light up lines as large as 10 inches in diameter. An internal 512 Hz transmitter for camera location is included.

Backed by a two-year warranty, the Gen-Eye Spectra system includes everything needed to trouble-shoot two through 10-inch lines, including a built-in AC/DC converter, on-screen distance counter, titler with heavy duty keyboard, built-in voice over unit, and trap skid. The control unit is condensed into an easy-to-carry rugged case.

A tough, Gel-Rod push rod protects against moisture damage if the rod is cut or abraded. Its Kevlar braid, fiberglass core, and durable polyurethane sheath provide for maximum pushing and pulling power. Standard reels hold 200, 300, or 400 ft. rods. Mini Reels hold 100 or 200 ft. rods.
