Taco launches building management system
04/27/2010

The new iWorx control from Taco Electronics Solutions is designed as an affordable, web-based building management, monitoring and control system for residential and light commercial buildings.
Simple to install, it offers precise control over energy usage and HVAC equipment maintenance in buildings up to 50,000 sq. ft. It offers the contractor a straightforward way to integrate forced air and hydronic systems, including geothermal and solar, and for assuring that each system communicates effectively and works smoothly together. As well, it performs Btu/h metering.
The online iWorx Selection Wizard offers contractors and design engineers the ability to create and specify iWorx projects in minutes. It creates a complete submittal package that includes wiring and air flow diagrams, bill of materials, sequence of operations, and job specifications.
Installation of the touch screen command module and components is easy. No software programming is required and the system is self-configuring. It is a modular system so that the contractor can add only the controllers and components that are actually needed. Web access allows remote monitoring.
