Toronto, ON — Ontario contractors who install air-source and geothermal heat pumps can now apply to be added to the home renovation savings participating HVAC contractor list. The deadline to apply is May 31.
Launched last year, this program allows Enbridge Gas customers specific rebates geared towards energy efficiency. Specifically, this includes $12,000 under the heat pump program to replace the current home heating system, such as oil, propane, wood, or electricity.
To be eligible for this incentive, program participants must use an HVAC contractor on the program’s list of contractors. For contractors looking to be added to the list, they must have a valid Ontario business license, general liability insurance, completion of manufacturer heat pump training (for all brands you will be installing), a valid TSSA certificate in your company name, a valid 313A or 313D license, a valid ozone depletion certificate, and a valid IGSHPA certification (GSHP contractors only).
The program is jointly offered and administered in Ontario by Enbridge Gas and the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
