Ottawa, ON —The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) has changed its name to the Association for Smarter Homes and Buildings (ASHB).
ASHB says its new name better reflects today’s smart home and building industries and its vision for the future.
“It honours our history while building awareness that we have always represented and will continue to represent the industry and market for intelligent systems in both commercial and residential structures,” said Brian Ensign, the association’s board chair from Superior Essex Communications.
ASHB is a not-for-profit association that supports the smart buildings and homes market. Its mandate is to “empower connectivity among people, spaces, and technology to deliver a more livable, sustainable, and efficient connected world.”
The organization is supported by an international membership of over 350 organizations involved in designing, manufacturing, installing, and retailing integrated home and building technology products.
