Ottawa, ON — The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) has earned accreditation from the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to develop National Standards of Canada for Canadian stakeholders.

“CGA is proud to be accredited by the Standards Council of Canada. For 110 years, the Compressed Gas Association has been dedicated to the development and promotion of safety standards and safe practices for our industry. We are honoured to continue in this mission as just one of 14 SCC-accredited standards development organizations,” said Rich Gottwald, president and CEO of the CGA.

As an accredited standards development organization (SDO), CGA can now submit standards to SCC for acceptance as National Standards of Canada.

As stated by its website, the CGA advances safety, efficiency, innovation, and development of best practices in the industrial, food and medical gases industries. Its members include manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and transporters of gases, cryogenic liquids, and related products and services.
