CMPX postponed until 2022

By Plumbing & HVAC Staff on April 27, 2020 News

This year’s Canadian Mechanical & Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) has been formally cancelled and the next event will take place at its regular time of March 23-25, 2022 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“These past few weeks have been interesting as we unwind everything that had been done to ensure a successful CMPX event,” said Sandy MacLeod, president and CEO of the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), and Ralph Suppa, president and general manager of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) in a letter to the industry.

“A number of contracts needed to be reviewed, cost impacts mitigated, options for the future of the event needed consideration, and of course, communications to exhibitors and industry stakeholders was a constant.” The show has been running since 1972 and is jointly produced by HRAI and CIPH.

Exhibitors for the cancelled 2020 CMPX tradeshow should expect more information in the coming weeks regarding the options available for the 2022 event.
