Watts Water, Burlington, Ont, introduces the ArmorTek advanced coating system for ACVs. The ArmorTek is available on Watts Classic and Mustang valves with an eight-year microbiologically induced corrosion warranty. It features an anti-corrosion primer, which contains an electrochemical corrosion inhibitor that slows the spread of corrosion should the metal substrate become exposed to wear or impact. Its microbial inhibitor curbs the growth of batteries that cause microbial-induced corrosion. This further slows the spread of corrosion and limits the growth of tubercles that can clog or foul downstream equipment.
