
Applicants for Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) student scholarship don’t have much time to get their applications in. The deadline is July 31.
Recently re-named to recognize MCAC’s long-serving CEO Richard McKeagan, the scholarship is designed to encourage graduates to join the mechanical contracting industry. The Construction Education Council in partnership with the MCA Canada Associate Members established the scholarship.
Basic eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Must be an MCAC Student Chapter Member or child/ward of a salaried employee of MCAC member company (company needs to be a member for at least one year)
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program leading to a degree, certificate, or diploma from an accredited Canadian university, college or apprenticeship program, with a minimum “B” average for the previous year
- Must not otherwise receive a major scholarship or bursary
