Toronto, ON – The deadline for the annual Richard McKeagan Scholarship series has been extended. The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) will now be accepting applications for the 2021 version of the series until Aug. 27, 2021. Just shy of $16,000 will be awarded via the scholarship awards for eligible students.

Richard McKeagan, former CEO of MCAC

Named after Richard McKeagan, a former CEO of MCAC, the scholarship targets students interested in joining the mechanical contracting industry. Founded in 2006 in partnership with The Construction Education Council and the MCA Canada Associate Members, the scholarship has awarded more than $60,000 to eligible students.

To qualify for the scholarship, eligible applicants must be an MCAC student chapter member or child/ward of a salaried employee of a MCAC member company, must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program towards a degree, certificate, or diploma from an accredited Canadian university, college, or apprenticeship program, and must not receive a major scholarship or bursary.
