Terrebonne, Que—With the new year, came new business dealings. Mectra, a Quebec-based manufacturers and distributors representative, has acquired Lambert & Bégin as of Jan. 1, 2021.
“This historic transaction is a natural extension of our complementary strengths; far from diluting our business offer, the reputation, corporate culture, and dedicated staff at Lambert & Bégin, combined with our own, will only add to it,” reports Mectra in a press release.
Lambert & Bégin’s founders, Stephan Lambert and Daniel Bégin, along with their long-time partner, Phillippe Jolicoeur, will continue to represent product lines of some of Mectra’s clients.
All employees will report to Jean-François Bélisle, general manager of Mectra, and Christian Hudon, vice president of Mectra.
“The merger will enable us to pool our resources, allowing us to tap into a broader range of global expertise,” adds Mectra.
