NRCan official receives Joseph K. Seidner Award

Philip Rizcallah, director of research and development – construction at the National Research Council of Canada is the 19th recipient of the Joseph K. Seidner Award. The presentation took place at the annual Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing meeting in Ottawa Aug. 13.

Rizcallah received the award in recognition for his contributions to Canadian plumbing codes and standards. He began his career 30 years ago when he worked as a fire protection engineer for the federal government in Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

The Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing provides a forum for industry, regulators, and product certification organizations to share new concepts and ideas, to discuss policy and programs, and to review innovations that affect the plumbing standards.
