The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada reports this morning that, effective immediately, GreenON Rebates Programs have been closed as a result of the change in leadership in the Government of Ontario.

This includes GreenON installations; GreenON solar rebates; GreenON modern wood heating pilots; and GreenON rebates for air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, insulation, windows, solar and smart thermostats.

GreenON social housing has also been cancelled as have the following commercial programs: GreenON small and medium businesses; food manufacturing and covered agriculture; solar; the GreenON challenge; and GreenON industries.

For customers who have already signed up for a rebate, the claim will be honoured provided that they have a signed work agreement with a participating contractor for work that will be completed by August 31, 2018; and the rebate application is submitted by September 30, 2018.
