Condensing boilers and indirect tanks provide DHW in this nursing home.

Boiler and pressure vessel safety training seminars are coming to Toronto at the end of October and November. The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is offering safety programs on the regulations, codes, and standards that govern the refrigeration piping industry in Ontario. Seminars will be run Oct. 30, Nov. 26 and 27.

The first seminar is intended to give participants an in-depth knowledge of the regulations and TSSA requirements for refrigeration piping. All levels of an organization responsible to manage, implement, and work in accordance with regulated refrigeration piping systems with a capacity over three- tons refrigeration or five- tons air conditioning should attend the seminars. Space is still available to register.

For the Nov. 26 and 27 seminars, attendees will focus on ASME B31.1 Power Piping and ASME B31.3 Process Piping regulations respectively. During the seminars, participants will learn about the vast differences in the requirements for each code. The course handout books have simplified to help better understand the codes.

These seminars will interest anyone who deals with pressure piping on a regular basis, including plant managers, project engineers, technologists, operating engineers, piping contractors, pipe-fitting supervisors, and pipefitters and welders, to name a few.

It should be noted that design and design-calculations will not be addressed during these seminars. Space is limited with a maximum of 20 people per day. To reserve a space, please email the seminar registration form to mwilczewski@tssa.org.

A continental breakfast, refreshments and lunch will be provided each day. The cost to participate in the seminars will be billed based on each individual day. For more information, please visit www.tssa.org/en/boilers-pressure-vessels/seminars.aspx
