Words of wisdom sought

By Plumbing & HVAC Staff on May 31, 2018 News

Tool company Ridgid is encouraging contractors/trades to send in their favorite words of wisdom from their fathers. These ‘dad-isms’ will be shared on the company’s Facebook page to mark Father’s Day.

“Ridgid wants to hear the things that inspired you, whether it’s the tools he handed down, the way he taught you to do the job right or the things he used to say. From “measure twice, cut once” to “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right,” these words of wisdom are a part of your legacy,” said Becky Brotherton, Ridgid marketing manager.

Contractors are urged to enter their favorite dad-isms on the Ridgid Facebook page at facebook.com/RIDGIDTools. If Ridgid uses them on any Ridgid social channel leading up to Father’s Day, the tradesman/contractor will receive two Ridgid heavy-duty wrenches – one for yourself and another to pass along to your advice-giver. The deadline is June 10.

“At Ridgid we’re proud that our tools are passed down from generation to generation, much the same way our favorite advice and sayings get shared. What better way to celebrate the trades and the best teachers of all – dads – than by combining the two,” said Brotherton. “Our Words of Wisdom contest lets Ridgid honor the father figure in your life and share his favorite line with others.”
