Nibco acquires UniTorq

Elkhart, Indiana — Nibco is expanding its presence in the commercial and industrial markets and adding to its valve actuation portfolio by acquiring UniTorq Actuators and Controls.

“We are excited to welcome UniTorq to our team. This acquisition enhances our ability to serve customers, accelerates our strategic objectives, and positions us for long-term success in the markets we serve,” said Ashley Martin, president and CEO of Nibco.

UniTorq is based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and has a portfolio of pneumatic and electric actuators, accessories, and controls.

Based in Elkhart, Indiana, Nibco manufactures valves, fittings and flow control products for residential, commercial construction, industrial and irrigation markets.

With this acquisition, UniTorq will join Nibco while retaining its people and products. Nibco adds that it “intends to invest in enhancing UniTorq’s IT platform to support continued operational excellence, superior-quality products, and exemplary customer service,” as said in the press release.
