Atlanta, Georgia — Four Canadians are among the recipients of ASHRAE’s 2026-2027 society scholarships. In total, 47 scholarships were awarded to students across the globe.
Junhyuk (Harry) Lee, a mechanical engineering major at the University of Manitoba, was the recipient of ASHRAE’s president’s scholarship, for a total of $12,500. This is the organization’s largest scholarship that recognizes a student enrolled in an undergraduate Bachelor of Science engineering curriculum in preparation for a future in HVAC or refrigeration.
Luna Marouf, a mechanical engineering major at York University in Toronto, received $10,000 via the Willis H. Carrier scholarship.
Matthew Lynch, a heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning technology major at George Brown College in Toronto, received $5,000 via the Engineering Technology Scholarship.
Lastly, Genevieve Beirne, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Toronto, was the recipient of the Lyn G. Bellenger Engineering scholarship for a total of $5,000.
