
Guelph, ON — Eden Energy Equipment is hosting its annual fall conference on Sept. 18 at the Delta Hotels Guelph Conference Centre in Guelph, Ont.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Forward by Design,” and during the conference, contractors, builders, developers, engineers, utilities, educators, manufacturers, skilled trades leaders, and electrification professionals will come together for a full day of practical learning, technical discussion, technology demonstrations, and industry connection.
Guests can expect a full educational program that will explore the technologies and issues shaping the heating and cooling market. This includes geothermal, air-to-water, and air-to-air heat pumps; hydronic design and low-temperature distribution; phase change thermal storage and load shifting; grid modernization and peak demand management; building science, comfort, and energy performance; residential retrofits and builder electrification; and skilled trades development and workforce opportunities.
The educational program will feature leading voices from the construction, utilities, research, energy efficiency, building science, and heating and cooling industries. Session topics include:

- Heat Pumps and the Grid: Why the Right Equipment Matters by Leigh St Hilaire, executive director of Volta Research.
- How Builders Are Electrifying: Options, Lessons, and Leadership from Mattamy by Patrick Marion, senior sustainability and procurement leader at Mattamy Homes.
- Hydronics That Work: Avoiding the Design Mistakes That Cost Comfort by Michael Ridler, owner of Eden Energy Equipment, and Robert Bean, ASHRAE distinguished lecturer.
- Rethinking Heating and Cooling for Electrified Buildings by Robert Bean.
- The Art of System Selection: Choosing the Right HVAC Solution for the Project by Niss Feiner, founder and principal mechanical designer of Delta-T Designs.
