Atlanta, Georgia — The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is now accepting abstracts for the ASHRAE and SCANVAC HVAC Cold Climate Conference 2023. The deadline to submit an abstract is June 13, 2022.
Held from March 6 to 8, 2023 at the Mariott Anchorage Downton, located in Anchorage, Alaska, the Cold Climate conference will address unique challenges and solutions for climate change in cold and arctic communities like Alaska.
“Net-zero energy and sustainability goals pose special challenges for cold climates, climates with large swings in temperature and where shifting weather patterns result in colder temperatures in areas where winters are typically mild,” said Erich Binder, HVAC Cold Climate Conference 2023 chair.
Abstracts should be 300 words or less and should present the problem statement, the novelty of the work, the methodology, the impact and applicability in cold climates, and the findings based on innovation in equipment and application, sustainability and resiliency, and building environments.
If accepted, final conference papers (eight-page maximum) are due October 31, 2022. For more information on the conference, visit Cold Climate Conference 2023.
