Toronto, ON — Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 iteration of the Richard McKeagan scholarship series. Run by the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC), the series helps lead post-secondary graduates and undergraduates towards a career in the mechanical trades. Eligible students will have until August 12 to submit their application.
Named after Richard McKeagan, a former CEO of MCAC, the scholarship targets students interested in joining the mechanical contracting industry. In partnership with the Construction Education Council (CEC) and the MCAC Associate Members, the scholarship has awarded more than $60,000 to students since 2006.
To qualify for the scholarship, eligible applicants must be an MCAC student chapter member or child/ward of a salaried employee of an MCAC member company, must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program towards a degree, certificate, or diploma from an accredited Canadian university, college, or apprenticeship program, and must not receive a major scholarship or bursary.
