Toronto, ON — Armstrong Fluid Technology has launched its new SMART recommissioning program.
The program is a service designed to help building operators restore and maintain HVAC systems.
Armstrong’s SMART decommissioning program optimizes pumps, control strategies and BAS integration. Working with current building loads, the program updates the asset’s configuration settings, enables cloud connectivity, and documents asset details.
The SMART service also includes:
- Multi-point check of pump operations.
- Activation of performance bundles to optimize equipment for better efficiency.
- Firmware updates (if required).
- 30-day comprehensive service report of asset operation and issue identification.
- 12 months of additional parts and labour warranty, subject to the conclusions of the service report.
- 12-month subscription to the pump manager performance tracking service.
Armstrong adds via its press release that, “Prior to the completion of a newly constructed building, the building load values used by engineers and contractors to commission HVAC systems are only estimates. Because actual loads are often different from estimates, equipment settings must be adjusted to ensure optimal efficiency. In addition, at any point in the lifespan of a building, changes in tenant makeup and sun exposure can affect the heating and cooling requirements.
