Moncton, N.B. — The month of May is known to bring three things: showers, flowers, and the return of the biannual Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Technology Show, or better known as the MEET Show. Atlantic Canada’s largest trade show is held in Moncton, N.B., from May 6 to 7 at the Moncton Coliseum. This year marks the 26th edition of the trade show.
“The industry changes dramatically every few years,” said Shawn Murphy, show manager. “This event is an ideal chance to reconnect with peers and explore the latest products and innovations in building technology.”
Both days of the show will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively. During the two-day show, guests will explore the latest innovations and products, attend educational seminars, and network with fellow industry members. The latest and greatest products will be on display at the MEET innovation awards, which highlight innovative products from the mechanical and electrical industry.
The categories represented on the mechanical side include plumbing, heating, hydronic heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, drain cleaning, tools, pumps, valves, fittings, business, and design software. Nominated products will have the chance to win one of four innovation awards, each given out by the sponsoring associations: Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) – Maritime sections, Electro- Federation Canada (EFC), and Atlantic Canada Mechanical Exhibitors (ACME).
Nominations for the MEET Innovation Awards will be accepted until March 31.
The MEET Show will also feature educational seminars covering various topics and themes within the industry. Sessions will be presented under the “Dialogue and Discussion” series. The full agenda of sessions is yet to be released. The 2024 edition of the trade show saw a total of 6,626 attendees over the two days, which was a drastic increase from the previous year of the show, up from 5,772 registered attendees in 2022.
Attendees of the show can also attend the industry networking dinner at the Delta Beausejour Hotel. Tickets and information can be found on the show website. For more information, visit www.meetshow.ca.
