Gloucester, ON — The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) celebrates its 25th birthday.
Beginning in 2000, the CAF-FCA has a mandate to be the national voice for apprentices and apprenticeship training.
The association held its very first national apprenticeship conference in 2002. In 2011, the association began partnering with First Nations across Canada and operating apprenticeship workshops.
In 2022, the association began offering grants to employers to support the hiring of first-year apprentices.
The latest milestone for the CAF-FCA is the inaugural Supporting Equity in Trades (SET) conference, which will be held from May 24 to 26 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Ont.
This conference will focus on building a more inclusive and resilient apprenticeship program.
