Geothermal installer earns top spot in Canada’s Top Growing Companies

Toronto, ON — The rankings are out and Canadian plumbing and HVAC companies have been thriving. Ten businesses were included in the Globe and Mail’s annual Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

The report ranks participating private and public Canadian companies by three-year revenue growth. Companies must be Canadian-run and have at least $2 million in annual sales in their most recent fiscal year.

Top spot was awarded to Subterra Renewables Inc., a Toronto-based designer, engineer and installer of geothermal exchange systems. Subterra grew 42,676 per cent in the past three years, bringing its total 2022 revenue to above $75 million.

The other Canadian HVAC or plumbing companies featured on the list include Blade Air, North York, Ont, with a 2022 revenue above $10 million; Surgically Clean Air Inc., Toronto, Ont., with a 2022 revenue above $50 million; Nerva Energy, Hamilton, Ont., with a 2022 revenue of above $10 million; Catanzaro Mechanical Ltd., Vaughan, Ont., with a 2022 revenue above $2 million, Genuine Comfort, Winnipeg, Man., with a 2022 revenue above $10 million; Affordable Comfort Heating and Cooling, Barrie, Ont., with a 2022 revenue of above $2 million; Clir Renewables Inc., Vancouver, B.C. 2022 revenue above $2 million; Jablonski Electric, Plumbing & Heating Ltd., St. Jean Baptiste, Man, with a 2022 revenue above $2 million; and Cambium Inc., Peterborough, Ont., with a 2022 revenue above $10 million.
