Oshawa, ON — March 11, also known as World Plumbing Day (WPD), is the annual celebration of plumbers and the role they play in everyday life. Established by the World Plumbing Council, the theme for 2025 is “Plumbing is More,” which aims to highlight the vital role plumbing plays in building prosperity, resiliency, and healthier communities.
The World Plumbing Council encourages the public and industry to share its infographics to spread the message that “Plumbing is More.”
The infographics feature the following key messages/topics: plumbing powers prosperity, plumbing advances water solutions, plumbing offers fulfilling careers, plumbing protects communities, plumbing enhances the future, and plumbing delivers for everyone.
Already involved in promoting World Plumbing Day, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) released a digital toolkit featuring resources to help the public and community celebrate. This toolkit includes the official WPD brand guide and logo, social media graphics, and a CIPH and WPD email signature. CIPH also aims to promote plumbing to the next generation of plumbers by hosting a colouring contest.
Additionally, CIPH will be partnering with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) to bring the plumbing supply chain together to help celebrate the day.
Wolseley Canada donated $10,000 to Water First, an organization providing training and education to Indigenous communities to address water challenges. This is the fourth year in a row that Wolseley has made this donation.
