Carrier, Charlotte, North Carolina, introduces its latest addition to its line of water-cooled screw chillers and water-sourced heat pumps: the AquaForce 23XW and 23XQ. It is optimized for cooling applications, with nominal capacities ranging from 75 to 200 tons, while the 23XQ heat pump delivers heating capacities between 960 and 2,900 MGH. The 23XQ also provides 140 F heating capability.
The 23XW and 23XQ were designed for R-1234ze(E) or A-1 rated R-515B refrigerants and a refrigerant economizer for enhanced efficiency. Both feature screw compressors optimized for part-load performance and liquid motor cooling for a wide operating envelope. The 23XW/XQ can respond to system changes at a rate of 70 per cent per minute. The 23XW and 23XQ were designed with retrofit and easy serviceability in mind.
