Clamp-on leak detection

0
By Plumbing & HVAC Staff on December 15, 2023 Product Watch

SenseCore, Cambridge, Ont, announces the creation of the Kraken, a leak-detection system that uses a non-invasive ultrasonic flow meter designed for accurate water consumption tracking in industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Created by two Cambridge, Ont-based plumbers, the IoT-driven solution leverages a Helium IoT network. In one application, the Kraken-Helium solution detected a leak in a residence that was losing 295,000 litres of water in one month. At a different job site, a community centre was consuming 27 litres of water per minute, which would have cost the centre $11,500 in water expenses.

This clamp-on flow meter eliminates the need for plumbing modifications. By integrating with the SenseCore alert system, it offers real-time data visualization, analysis, and alerts.
