Oakville, ON—Danfoss is celebrating its second Canadian-based office. Earlier in September, they held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Canada office and training center, located in Oakville, Ont. The office officially opened in December 2020, but the event was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Canada is an important market for us. We have strong customers working on innovative solutions and technologies,” stated John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America.
The new location will be home to 36 employees from all three business segments: Danfoss Climate Solutions, Danfoss Drives and Danfoss Power Solutions. In addition to office space, the office houses a training center, and meeting and event spaces for customers and distributors.
John Galyen hosted the ceremony, along with Randy Ross, HR manager and site leader. The ceremony featured appearances from several special guests, including Hanne Fugl Eskjær, ambassador of Denmark, Mae Scatliff, representive for MPP Stephen Crawford, and Rob Burton, mayor of Oakville.
“This office offers a home for all three business segments, allowing our colleagues greater interaction with each other and facilitating an open, collaborative environment that can strengthen our position as a leader in the green transition,” stated Galyen.
Danfoss has operated in Canada for 69 years and has had an office located in Mississauga, ON, for the last 47 years.
