Ontario, California — Plumbers have the opportunity to submit proposed changes to the 2021 National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC), which would impact the 2024 NSPC. The deadline for proposals is set for March 1, 2022.
The NPSC uses an annual review process and publishes the complete code every three years. No proposals will be accepted after 5 p.m. (EST) on the set deadline. The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) NSPC Committee oversees the code changes.
A copy of the code change form with instructions can be found on IAPMO’s website— www.iapmo.org/nspc. All proposed changes must be submitted in electronic form to nspc@iapmo.org. If any standard is referenced, a copy must accompany the proposed code change submitted.
“The NSPC is developed by all segments involved in the p-h-c industry: contractors, inspectors, manufacturers, engineers and labour,” said Frank Maddalon, NSPC chairman.
