Weil-McLain Canada, Burlington, Ont, announces the Canadian launch of its Eco Hybrid dual-fuel hydronic system, a solution that pairs an air-to-water heat pump with a high-efficiency boiler.
Ideal for new custom homes, renovations, and retrofits, the Eco Hybrid integrates the new Eco HP air-to-water heat pump with a boiler, switching between the two based on outdoor conditions. The Eco HP outdoor unit delivers up to 55,000 BTU/h and a maximum water outlet temperature of 65 C. This makes it suitable for radiant systems, fan coils, and panel radiators. The split-design configurations require no freeze protection, eliminating common Canadian installation concerns.
The system uses R-32 refrigerant and has a COP of up to 5.37. To streamline installation and integration, the Eco Hybrid includes Weil-McLain’s easy-up manifold, a refrigerant-to-water heat exchanger, circulator, and controls. For maintenance, isolation valves allow fast service access without major system interruption.
The system has an operating range of outdoor temperatures from -25 C to 42 C. It comes with a five-year warranty on its compressor and a two-year warranty on parts (five years with registration). It is available immediately in Canada.
