Mississauga, ON — A new heat pump training program enters into the second phase of its development. Offered by the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) in partnership with NRCan and Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Bridging the Gap heat pump training program completed its first phase.
Phase one featured the development of a curriculum focused on residential heat pump installations. The results from the technical committee identified 23 skill sets, which were transferred into an online technical assessment completed by almost 100 gas technician 2s and 313Ds from across Ontario.
Registration for phase three is currently open and accepting registration. The next phase will see the implementation of the training courses developed in phase two. Registration closes March 5.
HRAI adds that the training will be a combination of home and online learning with valuable in-lab practical training.
