HRAI creates program to meet with local politicians ahead of election

Mississauga, ON – Canada is hitting the polls, again. With Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announcing an election on Aug. 14, the Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) wants to make sure the HVAC/R industry feels heard by creating a “grass-roots” campaign.

The grass-roots campaign will allow for HRAI members to meet with local candidates, from any party, to educate them on the important role that the HVAC/R industry has on everyday life in Canada.

The goal is to make initial connections with prospective federal representatives when they are particularly familiar with constituents’ needs.

With help from HRAI, interested members will be provided with the opportunity to meet with local candidates and discuss general issues of importance in the industry. HRAI will also offer a tool kit to help with discussions with each candidate.

To participate, email your name, company and postal code to mluymes@hrai.ca.
