Mississauga, ON — The Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) is looking for nominations for its Manufacturers Distinguished Service Award, the Gerald Inch Award for Chapter Leadership, and the Craig McCarty Memorial Award.
All award recipients will be honoured at the association’s annual meeting and conference, which will run from Sept. 18 to 20, in Ottawa, Ont.
Members can complete the Manufacturers Distinguished Service Award Nomination Form to nominate a candidate and must return it by Aug 8.
Eligible participants for the award will have made an outstanding contribution to HRAI’s manufacturer’s division and the industry during the past year or over several years. This includes but is not limited to:
- Personal commitment to active participation in product sections/task teams
- Contribution in the area of public affairs and establishing relations with governments
- Contribution to new member recruitment
- Contribution to the success of the division
The Gerald Inch Award for Chapter Leadership recognizes the special efforts of volunteers who have been instrumental in keeping chapters and local/regional groups viable and meaningful to members.
The award is named after Gerald Inch, a founding member of the London Region HRAC Association and has been a member for over 25 years. His main contribution to the chapter and the membership at large has been his commitment to and support for continuing education programs.

The Craig McCarty Memorial Award is given to contractor division members who have shown outstanding leadership and dedication to the HVAC/R contracting industry in Canada by volunteering to serve in leadership roles within HRAI’s contractor division.
Named in honour of Craig McCarty, the first appointed chair of HRAC and a founding member of the Essex/Kent/Lambton Chapter. McCarty’s vision for and dedication to the formation of HRAC as a distinct entity within HRAI helped to make this new contractor association what it is today.
Nominations for this award must be submitted by Aug 22 and can be submitted online by filling out a form.
