Toronto, ON — More students attended Ontario’s Level Up! Skilled Trades Fair than ever before. Over the course of the fall, 57,000 students attended the fairs and were introduced to careers in the skilled trades.
The fairs visited 11 communities across Ontario over 27 days. During this time, the career fairs welcomed 49,500 students from 947 schools, 8,200 from open houses, and nearly 1,800 volunteer exhibitors from more than 145 organizations that staffed over 400 exhibit booths.
Launched back in 2022 by Skills Ontario, the Level Up! Skilled Trades Fair was created to experientially expose students in grades 7-12 to Ontario’s 144 recognized skilled trades. During the fairs, students have access to interactive exhibitions and hands-on activities, and they can also hear directly from tradespeople and local employers about skilled trades careers.
