
Ottawa, ON — It’s award season for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC). The association is accepting nominations for several of its national awards, which will be given out during its annual national conference, held in Halifax, N.S from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1.
The awards celebrate individuals and firms who have contributed greatly to the success of the association and the mechanical contracting sector. The Life Membership Award is presented to any individual who, upon retirement or otherwise, is recognized by the association for his or her contribution to the work of the association. Life Members shall enjoy all the privileges of ordinary members except the right to vote or hold office.
The Lloyd MacLean Memorial Award recognizes an individual for unselfishly giving to the national association. Specifically, this person demonstrates outstanding commitment to MCA Canada, volunteers whenever needed, and supports MCA Canada through time commitment. The Gary Greig Memorial Award is presented to an individual, individuals, or company who has made significant contributions to MCA Canada through long-standing voluntary participation, leadership and commitment to ensuring the success of the annual national conference.
Lastly, the Doug Crawford Memorial Award recognizes an individual, individuals, or company who has made a contribution to the association through voluntary participation, leadership and commitment.
