Barrie, ON — 2026 marks 50 years of business for Napoleon. Founded in Barrie in 1976, the Canadian-run business manufactures grills, fireplaces, and home-comfort solutions.
In honour of its anniversary, Napoleon is introducing a limited production run of 1,976 Napoleon anniversary Prestige Phantom grills. The number of grills represents the year the company was founded.
“Our growth has always come from thinking boldly about what’s next while staying grounded in the principles that built this company,” said Chris Schroeter, CEO of Napoleon. “Every decade brought a new chapter, but the common thread has always been innovation driven by a deep respect for the customer experience.”
Throughout its history, Napoleon achieved various milestones. The first was in the 1970s, when it launched its first wood stove. The next milestone was expanding into gas grills, fireplaces, and home heating and air solutions. Next was the development of infrared cooking technology, which remains a cornerstone of Napoleon’s product DNA to this day. Flagship product lines include the Prestige and Rouge.
Today, Napoleon operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in Canada, the United States, Mexico, China and Europe.
