Danfoss, Oakville, Ont., releases its new SVA-140B stop valve and FIA-140B strainer for large-capacity transcritical carbon dioxide systems. SVL Flexline platform is now expanding to 140 bar MWP to meet the increasing demand for large manual valves in industrial design for large-scale R-744 transcritical carbon dioxide systems. The valves are available in angle and straight connections in sizes from DN50 to DN100. It is designed for favourable flow conditions and the FIA-140B can be fitted with the existing range of stainless-steel plain and pleated filter inserts from 150 to 500 microns. Strainer inserts are shared with other FIA valves in the SVL platform. The valves are applicable in the medium and high-pressure parts of the carbon dioxide transcritical system, including upstream to HP valves, by-pass valves, MT compressors, and hot gas defrost valves.
