Rye Brook, New York — Two Canadians, Dalton Lonar and Kayna Deschenes, have been announced as recipients of the Goulds Professional Dealers Association (GPDA) scholarships.
Lonar is from Weyburn, SK and is part of Don’s Plumbing and Heating, while Deschenes is from St. Pascal, QC and is part of Les Puits Artésiens Deschênes, Inc.
This scholarship awards $24,000 to 16 deserving students across North America every year.
Eligible students receive $1,500 in scholarship money, which is granted based on academic standing, volunteerism and leadership skills, and enables students to pursue higher education at the college or technical school level.
Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem brand, created the scholarship, which serves as a resource for GPDA members.
GPDA is a network of independent water system professionals that provides independent dealers with technical and product training. Scholarship recipients are family members of GPDA members. Since its inception, over 300 students have received scholarships, with more than $420,000 in funding handed out.
