North Andover, Massachusetts — Watts is accepting applications for its Backflow Hero Award. The award recognizes individuals passionate about protecting drinking water who demonstrate innovative and creative thinking, are committed to education, and uphold best practices and standards regarding backflow prevention.
Nominations for the award will be accepted until June 20, and the winners will be announced on Aug. 16, which is known as National Backflow Prevention Day.
Watts adds that nominees can include backflow installers and testers, municipal backflow program administrators, code enforcers and trainers, backflow and parts distributors and sales professionals.
Last year’s winners were Dave Watson of Dave Watson Associates and Jim Purzycki of Backflow Apparatus and Valve Company (BAVCO).
