Calgary, Alta — The winners of the new product showcase at CIPHEX West 2023 has been announced. Nine winners were selected from 40 new products and technologies entrants.
The products were judged by a panel of industry experts that included Tyler Majcher, Mechanical Contractors Association, Garry Milligan, Thermal Environmental Comfort Association, and Joe Cheung, the American Society Plumbing Engineers – BC.
The winners are as follows:
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration: Crowcon’s new Refrigerant Leak Probe combines the Sprint Pro’s Combustion Analysis and Refrigerant Leak Detection into one single all-in-one tool. The RLP detects up to 13 refrigerants and has visual and audible alarms that alert users to the leak.
Heating and Ventilation: The Master Group’s Moovair Central-Moov add-on heat pump system is comprised of an inverter-driven side discharge condensing unit and matching heat pump cased coil. The system utilizes traditional 24-volt controls, offering flexibility for installation and homeowner preferences. The system is AHRI, NEEP, and listed with NRCAN and GHG eligible combinations up to 36kBtu.
Hydronic Heating: The Solstice R32 Air-to-Water-Heat-Pump by SpacePak utilizes eco-friendly R32 refrigerant in an environmentally safe monobloc design and provides a 3-in-1 solution for heating, cooling and DHW. The quietly designed heat pump offers cold climate heating performance in outdoor air temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C).
