Toronto, ON—The pandemic is still going strong here in Canada, with the number of cases reported reaching all-time highs. Tradeshows are looking to a hopeful return for in-person events sometime in 2022.
The Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) has made plans to return to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, March 23 to 25 for the biennial event. Jointly produced by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), the event is being billed as a celebration of the industry, including educational sessions, demonstrations, and new product introductions.
The 2020 CMPX show was cancelled March 25 to 27 as the pandemic was just starting to come to Canada and cases were on the up and up.
This will be the first year the show will be managed by the show division of Newcome Media Inc.
A virtual meeting was held on Nov. 27 by show organizers to begin planning the 2022 event. The show brings together a slew of industry-related fields including air-conditioning, forced air and hydronic heating, plumbing, waterworks, water quality, piping, refrigeration, and ventilation.
New shows features are expected for 2022 to make the event special, reports HRAI.
