Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer tourney raises $2.6 million

Vaughan, ON — The 2022 Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer charity hockey tournament raised $2.6 million to support the fight against cancer, in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Over 1,500 players and volunteers, participated in this year’s event, which was held on Oct. 1 at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

To date, the tournament has raised $27.5 million in 11 years.

The Plumbing & HVAC magazine team also participated in the event as part of the Next Plumbing and Hydronics Supply team. Next Supply had 25 teams and over 300 players representing the brand, which raised over $450,000 in fundraising.

The event featured numerous vendors and exhibitors, and celebrity ambassadors, including Doug Gilmour, Sarah Nurse, Wendall Clarke, Nick Kypreos, Jeremy Roenick, Al Iafrate, Rick Vaive, and many more. The tournament also held a charity auction which featured prizes such as a signed Vladimir Guerrero JR baseball and bat, various signed Toronto Maple Leaf jerseys, a signed Pele picture, and more.
